Who we are

Are My Sites Up? (“AMSU”) watches business websites. This page describes what we collect when you use the public site, the free scan, and an account.

The free scan

To run a scan you give us a domain and an email address. We check uptime, the SSL certificate, domain expiry, and email setup. We store the email, the domain, the hostname, the overall result, and which page you came from so we can write to you later. We do not create an account from a scan.

The report itself is cached for one hour behind an unguessable link, then it expires. Later mail will include a way to unsubscribe. We will record that unsubscribe against the address.

Accounts

If you start a trial we collect the account name, your email, a password, billing details through Stripe, and the sites you ask us to watch. We use that to run checks, send alerts, and bill you. We keep audit events for sign-in and account changes.

What we do not do

We do not sell your address. We do not change your website, DNS, or hosting unless you later ask for that in a product we have actually built. We do not require an account to scan.

How long we keep it

Scan reports expire after an hour. Scan leads (email, domain, result) stay until you unsubscribe and we delete them, or until we no longer need them to follow up. Account data lasts as long as the account does, plus what billing and the law require.
